Barbara’s Journey
Barbara’s journey includes time on staff with Campus Crusade for Christ (CRU); training by early leaders of the Exchanged Life movement — Dr. Charles Solomon and Dr. Bill Gillham; a personal friendship with Dan Stone, author of The Rest of the Gospel; and years of mentoring from Dr. James Wilder, author of the Life Model, Living With Men, and Joy Starts Here. The Exchanged Life years taught Barbara freedom from performance-based acceptance, her identity in Christ, and her theological basis for life. And from Dr. Wilder, Barbara learned what to do with pain, how to build and spread joy, and how to live the Immanuel lifestyle. Along with various trials and struggles, all of her training and experiences contribute to how she teaches, leads and writes.
New, Healthy, Healed
“My life has been transformed, I am happy to say, from learning the Immanuel Prayer process, how the brain stores, changes and heals from traumas, and the importance of building joy in my life. I am a new, healthy and healed woman today because of Barbara’s great love for me and her desire to share these life-changing truths.” Juli May
“Barbara’s teaching, including the principles and skills contained in her books, made such a difference for me. I cannot recommend her books highly enough to you.” Debbie Sellmann
Takes Spiritual Principles Directly to Practical Living
“Barbara has taken years of professional research jargon and condensed it into layman’s terms. Through this material, I have ‘re-trained’ my brain closer to the mind of Christ.” Margie Reitz
“Barbara Moon immediately takes spiritual principles directly to practical living. Here are the practical answers to everything we wish had not happened. I will be giving this book (Re-Framing Your Hurts) as a gift to people in hard places, and encouraging their friends to read it and learn how to make our times of difficulty as short and as useful as possible.” E. James Wilder, PhD.
Enabled Me To Live A More Joy-filled Life
“Most of my life I have been emotionally shut down because of painful life experiences. What I thought were helpful defense mechanisms against further pain actually affected every relationship in my life. Learning how to embrace my pain, instead of avoiding it, has enabled me to live a more joy-filled life.” Dianne Pesaresi
“Have you ever heard that emotional pain means something has value to you? I have learned from Barbara how to value pain, feel pain, and return to joy from it. These skills greatly improved my relationships.” Shawnda Myers
“What I love about Barbara is that she tests everything on herself first. This is not academic material. This is nitty-gritty, real and proven.” Peggy Keenum
